We have partnered with MITRE to empower their research community to consider customer needs in driving its research over the course of a six-week cohort. With a focus on experiential learning, MITRE’s principal investigators are trained by FedTech staff in the customer discovery process and in business model building in order to inform future product development and research decisions.

With an emphasis on interviews and face-to-face interaction, MITRE researchers are given the tools to pivot in their idea and develop a new mindset centered around design thinking. Many of the practices are similar to that of an entrepreneur, but instead of selling a product, FedTech works with the MITRE researchers and engineers to better develop technology.
