Hybron, FedTech Program Alum, Closes $25M Oversubscribed Seed Round

Hybron, a Crucible Accelerator and Northrop Grumman Technology Accelerator alum, recently closed a $25 million oversubscribed seed round, including participation from Ultratech Capital Partners, an investor connection made through FedTech’s VentureMatch platform.

Hybron is rebuilding America’s ability to domestically manufacture critical components our warfighters need. The U.S. military depends on metals like titanium and manganese that are largely controlled by adversaries, and legacy manufacturing processes are too slow to replenish depleted stockpiles at the pace today's threat environment demands. Hybron's proprietary manufacturing process produces complex components (artillery shells, jet engine compressor blades, drone bodies, and solid rocket motor nozzles) up to 100x faster than conventional methods with an entirely domestic supply chain.

Hybron came through FedTech’s Crucible Accelerator in 2025, part of a coordinated portfolio with the Inland Empire Tech Bridge focused on accelerating dual-use technologies into deployable Navy solutions.

Hybron entered Crucible with strong technology and an opportunity to deepen its understanding of how the federal ecosystem worked. Funding pathways, customer access, and SBIR and STTR programs were all new areas the team was looking to navigate more effectively.

“FedTech played a real role in accelerating Hybron at a critical stage for us. Going through the Northrop Grumman Technology Accelerator and Crucible [Accelerator] gaveus exposure to parts of the defense ecosystem that are otherwise very difficult to access."

Brennan Lieu, CEO, Hybron

Crucible provided structure at the right moment, giving the team a clearer understanding of how to approach the defense market and how to move their technology forward with intent.

“It wasn’t just helpful in the moment; it shaped how we approach growth, partnerships, and entering the defense market.”

Brennan Lieu, CEO, Hybron

Over 10 weeks, Hybron learned how to operate in the defense ecosystem, received mentorship from military experts and industry leaders, and engaged directly with Department of War stakeholders.

“We were taught how to engage meaningfully with government stakeholders, how to position ourselves correctly for real opportunities, and how to think about transitioning technology out of development and into production. The subject matter experts FedTech brings in are world-class, and that guidance made a tangible difference in how we operate today.”

Brennan Lieu, CEO, Hybron

Following the program, Hybron unveiled a series of innovations that advanced the manufacturing of complex composite parts for warfighter equipment, enabling significantly faster production and improved performance.

Beyond programming, one of the most lasting outcomes is the network.

“A lot of the relationships we built through FedTech have continued well beyond the programs themselves, and have directly contributed to where we are now.”

Brennan Lieu, CEO, Hybron

In April 2026, Hybron closed a $25 million oversubscribed seed round led by Marque Ventures, with participation from Ultratech Capital Partners, an investor connection made through FedTech’s VentureMatch platform. First In, DTX Ventures, and Veteran Ventures Capital also participated.

Be first in line to be notified when applications open for the 2026 Northrop Grumman Technology Accelerator on April 27.
