The NSIN Defense Innovation Accelerator (DIA) matches breakthrough Department of Defense (DoD) lab technology with teams of entrepreneurs to solve the real-world problems of DoD and commercial customers. Entrepreneurs work with DoD lab inventors, mentors and subject matter experts from the Government and private sectors, and world class instructors to assess the market viability and the potential to commercialize DoD lab technologies.
DIA is an intensive 4-month cohort-based program executed in two phases: customer discovery and early company formation. Successful teams have gone on to form companies, license the technology from the labs and pursue various funding opportunities.

DoD Elevate
DoD Elevate, sponsored by the Defense Laboratories Office (DLE) within the Department of Defense equips DoD lab personnel with the necessary training to foster partnerships to streamline the movement of technology from DoD laboratories to our soldiers. Elevate is designed for tech transfer professionals but is open to any staff working at a DoD laboratory or facility.
Elevate is a year-long training series which develops the skills of DoD lab personnel around outreach, marketing and creativity. In demonstrating venture proven techniques, DoD workers can better apply product development, management and innovative strategies to be more successful in transitioning technology to the warfighter after having gone through the training series.
Through our programming, DoD employees can expect to build relationships with industry leaders from tech companies and the investor community, to work in a more collaborative network.
