Every year, federal agencies fund energy research at national labs and universities. Turning that research into companies that grow a region’s economy takes more than a strong technology; it requires many partners working together. If you work in tech transfer, economic development, or a regional innovation program, or you are building a company on lab-developed technology, this session is for you.
Tune in to hear how South Carolina is building its region’s ecosystem to set up emerging energy startups for success. You’ll hear three perspectives from Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL), SC NEXUS for Advanced Resilient Energy at the South Carolina Department of Commerce, and the Clemson University Research Foundation (CURF) leadership, on how each plays a role in moving energy technology from the lab into the local economy.
On October 14, lab, economic development, and university leaders will join Paige Leonard, FedTech’s Program Manager for Innovation, to discuss practical lessons that people running similar efforts can implement.
