The NSIN Defense Innovation Accelerator (DIA) matches breakthrough Department of Defense (DoD) lab technology with teams of entrepreneurs to solve the real-world problems of DoD and commercial customers. Entrepreneurs work with DoD lab inventors, mentors and subject matter experts from the Government and private sectors, and world class instructors to assess the market viability and the potential to commercialize DoD lab technologies.
DIA is an intensive 4-month cohort-based program executed in two phases: customer discovery and early company formation. Successful teams have gone on to form companies, license the technology from the labs and pursue various funding opportunities.

NASA Startup Studio
The NASA Startup Studio offers entrepreneurs an opportunity to launch the next big NASA spinoff. It is a unique program that pairs entrepreneurs (and those who want to be) with NASA technologies that are prime for commercialization. The program typically runs 8 weeks.
FedTech builds teams of entrepreneurs around cutting edge NASA technology. Over the course of the program, participants will explore markets, build business models and validate their technology, working to spin off a business and create a commercial product.
In the NASA Startup Studio, entrepreneurs have the unique opportunity to work with some of NASAs most advanced technologies from a number of areas including aeronautics & robotics, materials & coatings, instrumentations, optics & sensors, IT, health & environment, and more.
There is no cost to participate, and for any team that launches their own venture through this studio, FedTech does not take any equity from the companies formed. The NASA Startup Studio is intentionally designed to be completed alongside a full-time job or MBA program, as participants need to commit an average of 15 hours per week.
