Energy and Innovation Commercialization Fellowship
The Energy Innovation & Commercialization Fellowship spearheaded by Brookhaven National Laboratory, offers an immersive hybrid part-time fall fellowship program designed for undergraduate and graduate students with a STEM, business or other relevant backgrounds to build entrepreneurial skills and knowledge around technology transfer and opportunities to commercialize U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) technologies. The fellows will have the opportunity to attend a bootcamp at Brookhaven National Laboratory and present their commercialization plans in a virtual pitch event at the conclusion of the fellowship.
Crucible Ignitor
Funded by the NavalX Inland Empire Tech Bridge, powered by FedTech, Crucible Ignitor is a startup studio that matches federal or university created technologies with entrepreneur teams to promote dual-use technology commercialization. Now entering its third year, successful teams form new companies, license technologies, and develop solutions that can impact government or private markets. Entrepreneurs work closely with inventors, technology transfer, subject matter experts, and advisors.

Crucible Accelerator
Crucible Accelerator, in partnership with the NavalX Inland Empire Tech Bridge, is a no-cost, no-equity program designed to accelerate the growth of startups from the United States. Drawing inspiration from the determination and resilience demonstrated in the U.S. Marines' Crucible challenge, this 10-week program offers entrepreneurs mentorship, resources, and the chance to cultivate strategic partnerships in the Department of Defense ecosystem. Crucible Accelerator aims to propel businesses to the next level and enable them to tackle real-world challenges.
Crucible Primer
The Crucible Primer 2025 is designed to equip federal researchers with the critical skills, strategies, and frameworks necessary to maximize the impact of their research within the Department of Defense (DoD) and beyond. The program fosters innovation, stakeholder engagement, and commercialization pathways by integrating key topics such as the Office of Naval Research’s (ONR) Science & Technology Strategy, technology transfer, entrepreneurial mindset, and collaboration opportunities.
